I was wondering if anyone has reservations about giving their real first and last names etc. to agencies when setting up appointments.
In the past, I have used reputable agencies outside the area in which I live, and as such, have not been too concerned about it. However, (esp. when using an agency in one's hometown) is there a chance that this information could fall into the wrong hands, or be somehow used against you??
I'm curious since the agencies where I reside are not that web savvy, and therefore, I am at a bit of a disadvantage in determining which ones are upscale, and which are best left alone.
Also, the second part of my question, has anyone ever been in a situation where they have picked an agency at random, and have received substandard service?? - Is there any recourse in these cases??
Your comments would be appreciated.
please be careful ....
when dealing with most agencies, it is understood that one is required to provide personal information - such as last name, phone number and address. otherwise there is no way to 'confirm' a booking.
often, if you are staying in an upscale hotel, it is impossible to return a call to confirm you are truly staying there unless you provide a last name to the operator.
however, one should realize that many agencies keep this private information on computer databases.
in my own experience doing the phones for several agencies - despite promises of discretion - many agencies also kept log books with all this information - sometimes the log books dated back to the time the agency opened - this could be years! the information maintained included # of times you used the services, the girls that you saw, any particular interests, quirks or deviancies you possess, your credit card #'s, and all your personal information (address, telephone number and name)... leaving this info accessible in the event that LE came investigating ...
with this in mind, make sure you do your research and can trust the agency you are dealing with ... otherwise you may be burned (remember when the outcall agency 'exotica' was busted a few years back - and some clients were mentioned in the toronto sun?)
[of course - the only reason to maintain records is to document 'bad calls' to protect the safety of girls - there is such a high turnover of 'phonegirls' in this biz, that it is necessary to keep a 'bad call list'.]

Sticky situation, I agree...I've never been with an agency but I would assume that a database would be to their best interest to keep references such as the gentleman's preferences, or to determine whether or not the client can be hostile for the ladies safety.
I can imagine as well that an SP who had a 'high turnover', or saw a lot of new clients might maintain information for the same reason.
Personally, I don't keep records...for me, the whole idea is to get comfortable and trust develops soon after that (of course I would want to verify exactly who I'm meeting for the first time, and a real name is part of that comfort level). I entertain in my home, so my livelihood is at stake as well. Most of my clients present me with a business card!
It's not to my benefit to expose a client or his well-being. My goal is to have him return ;)

Question: And how would she check him out?
usually an escort asks for a last name, phone number and address that can be confirmed by bell canada.
or she may ask for a reference from another 'working girl'. my 'roommate' and i would share this information with each other.

As Wanker said, there is nothing illegal about having your name on anyones list.Like Howard Hunts name in a notebook found on the watergate burglars. But it can be a problem.I always use my first name and am happy to give a cell number, but last names and anything that gives a permanent address makes me nervous.Anyone can get my real name from my cell number if they have good legal reason, but most home phones can be traced to a name and address just by using reverse 411 on the net.
