When calling an escort agency, do most people use cell phones, or go with land line??

I have always used my cell phone in the past, mainly due to the fact that I want to avoid those nasty charges for local calls at the hotels :D (call me cheap...but the more money I save, the more ladies I see! LOL)

I digress... I realize that cell phone conversations can be easily monitored, but I heard somewhere that hotels keep records of all phone calls made from the rooms, and as such, could potentially find out the nature of my business there.

So, which is the lesser of two evils??

Lyla said it right. Man, if you don't think you should be doing it.. don't. There's no shame in it.

Guys should consider that there are 2 sides to this coin. Most escorts don't want problems either, and don't want guys following them home, or pestering them when they are working, or doing other things. So we are careful when going to see clients, and not invading their privacy.

I find it amazing that some men are so paranoid. You pay us to be discreet, and to leave- not to stay, and NOT to want anything more from you.

Don't mean to be harsh. And Lyla did say it best- I mean, who really cares, in the end, what someone does or doesn't do. Most of us have seen guys who run from being CEO's, movie stars, singers, politicians, to accountants, computer guys, and janitors. It doesn't matter to us all that much. What matters is the guy being nice, considerate clean, and having a good time.

My 2 cents worth: Better safe than sorry! So... would someone mind answering my original question??

Which is safer, a cell phone or the phone in the hotel room???

probably hotel phone. Most of them are not listed anymore, for some strange reason- and cellphone numbers can come up if the escort agency has call display. If a hotel number comes up, who cares? You are calling from a place where there are more than likely 200 or more other people. How would they find out what you do anyway- that's my question- unless you tell them everything. Most guys lie about everything anyway. *smiles*

With respect to the question being asked, a cell is probably more secure than a hotel line for initiating contact. Both are effectively tracked. The cell provider tracks the numbers you are calling and a hotel tracks the numbers too. Both have a billing address and probably your real name. If authorities want to track you down to discuss your "activities" they can readily do so from either source since a record of the communication will exist either way.

In my case, if I happen to be in a hotel room and intend to contact an escort, I generally still use my cell. If anything, it is a courtesy to the hotel since you are minimizing their involvement in the transaction, which they probably appreciate -- especially if the place is known for being a no-tell-motel.

In general, when reading expressions of concern about such security issues, I tend to respond as several previous posters have. Who cares? For all intents, if someone does care enough to ask the right questions, the answers will be discovered. A wife might care enough. If that is the concern, I would suggest the primary concern should be to ensure such questions do not arise in the first place. Within the confines of this society, it is almost impossible to thoroughly hide your activities. The best you can achieve is an obscuring of the reality.

Likewise, the acquisition of such banal information is generally of no use to ordinary individuals engaged in the acquisition. I can think of a couple of escorts who seem to derive some honest pleasure from knowing your full name and permanent contact number. Whatever. In the end, this is an activity that requires imparting some level of trust and no amount of information, or lack thereof, will change that.

I agree with bits and peices of most of these. I tend to agree most with the people that say "who cares". This is because by nature I am a paranoid person but this paranoia has led to research which leads me to say, the police are not watching every guy who checks into a hotel to see if they are calling escorts. Not even in Halton region where skateboard offenses get LE's pulse racing. There are ways however to obtain an impenetrable fake identity thanks to loop and oversights in the gov't agencies that control such things. If terrorists can do it so can you. But the question is are you that paranoid? Just know that cops aren't watching you for this. If they are watching you for other reasons, then you need to be careful. How many big time criminals have been brought down for petty things? But if they are not any old phone is good enough. As far as your wife catching you, thats a whole other ball game :)

...or buy a pre-paid phone card with an '800' number to dial from the hotel room......if you are that concerned.

they usually keep a record internally of the last 10 numbers dialed, and the last 10 calls received.

the best bets for total security...borrow another persons cell in the hotel bar; pre-arrange your visit from your most despised workmate's desk while they are at lunch, or train a pidgeon :)

Security on Cell or hotel phones.

If you are that paranoid, here is a tip. You can use a pay phone in the lobby of the hotel to book your appointment and if they need to be able to call you back to confirm the booking they can call you through the switchboard. However in order to do that they need your name, in some cases your full name otherwise most hotels will not forward the call. If you want to avoid that you can tell the switchboard you are expecting a call and can they just transfer it to you. I have done this in the past and usually I just get a wink from the guy behind the desk when I ask them to do that.

If that still isnt your cuppa tea, you can always get a temporary cell number to use while you are in town. Regardless of whether you use a cell or the hotel, a log of the call is always kept.

Yes, every call that goes out and comes in on cell phones is recorded by the cell company and it is the same with the phone company. Even numbers that show up as unlisted or unknown are known to the friend folks at Bell Canada. Every call must be recorded and it takes a court order to release this info. So unless you are doing something highly illegal, I suggest you relax. The laws in Canada in regards to prostitution are clearly defined so the wink wink nudge nudge wont get you into hot water like it would in the states. Relax, take a chill pill and unless you are going through a divorce and your ex has an over eager lawyer, you have nothing to worry about.

It's also very easy to delete the last outgoing and incoming call numbers on your cell.
