How You Find Your Escorts

I've posted this for two friends who are trying to budget their advertising dollars wisely. We were discussing where most men find their escorts, and it occurred to me that this might be the perfect place to ask.

I've posted a short poll that I hope will help to answer the question, and appreciate any responses. :)

Agree that the people who use sites such as this one are not a representative sample. Having said this I would add that review boards as an advertising medium work best for SPs who provide good service. As far as Directories go, ask some of the SPs for their stats from those Directories before booking an ad.

The vast majority of SP's that I have seen have been from word of mouth or referals from friends/clients and occasionally another SP.

Before I discovered TERB it was mostly hit and miss. What someone else called a gfe really wasnt my cuppa tea. I would have one good SP for every 2 bad SP's. After discovering the review boards all across the world, my ratio started to go up. Now I get perhaps one or two bad SP's for every 10 good ones.

I find that the majority of those who use the boards have been a great help to others starting out. We are probably better educated in this line of business than those who just use the papers or directories.

Thanks for your input, guys. I left off Yellow Pages because I don't think it's where most guys would look for independents. It's also not anything that they have plans to advertise in, since the costs are now so incredibly astronomical.

It's true that you guys are probably not a cross sample of 'average' hobbyists. But who wants average clients? ;) In the case of my friends, they rely primarily on web advertising, with a few other small ads here and there, and are simply trying to find a way to expand their audience without maxing their budgets.

Actually, they've both been well reviewed, too - search for Daynna or Daniella and you should find them. Daniella's actually going back to the US to make adult films, so it's more for Daynna, I guess.

As your poll shows, most clients use the review boards. SP's can increase their review rate here if 1) they don't object to being reviewed; and 2) they provide an above average experience. If the service is good, most of us will learn of it eventually. There really is no need to advertise everywhere and in fact this could be counter-productive as it gives the impression of desperation, few repeat clientelle and what that implies. I know about Morgan for example from the boards; just haven't found the time to establish the rapport she requires.

There's other reason's that you have to advertise in the same places every week. A lot of the clients I see are married, and can't carry around phone numbers and addresses. If I have the same ads out, they are likely to be able to find me again, be it a voice ad, or print ad or something else.

Also, you get new clients who are from out of town, which is nice.

I am sure most sp's don't have to advertise every week because they are "desperate" for clients.

It's a necessity, due to the nature of the biz, and the clients we do have.

I get the impression that a combination of a Toronto exotics pic plus either Now or Eye is a good way to get noticed.It certainly worked for a certain SP I know who i will not name.You also have to be good enough for the ad to lead to a review.The advantage of internet customers is that they do not haggle over pay(so I am told)

Well, I have to admit that there are a few indies who advertise so agressively that it's always given me pause for thought. I've always wondered 'just how many clients are you trying to *find*, anyways?'. Not that I begrudge anyone the perogative to advertise where and how they wish, it's just always baffled me. I have a hard time keeping up with the calls I get now, and I'm far from the top escort in the biz, and I advertise almost no place at all.

What Daynna is trying to do is find one ad source that will reach the widest cross section of clients, without having to resort to putting ads everyplace. The poll results have been interesting so far - I mean, it's definate now that she'll never put an ad in the Sun, and Now is starting to look like a better option than Eye.

When I first started out I did a web search for "escorts, Toronto" and got www.tonights.com. It was only after I started meeting ladies that they told me about other sites that were harder to find. Looking like someone is desperate I think is only a fetish of this site.

One spot for escort advertising is Toronto Life Magazine. I would suspect that it might attract more upscale clients. Note that one of the regular advertisers is the SP who seems to be one of the most highly regarded on TERB, and from the comments I have read, I would think that the probability of her being "desparate" range somewhere between zilch and zero.

Which reminds me, I have wondered what happened to the Dutch girl who wore silk stockings who was a regular advertiser in there a few years back. She did incalls in a very nice downtown apartment.

I also think that for those like me that is traveling a lot across Canada, in large cities, internet is the first place where you should take a look at, but we are internet user, I have been searching for SP on internet for the past 3 years, and I did find out about those board only few month ago, because a SP ask me if I was a poster, how many of your regular consumer have made the first contact via internet lady, I would imagine that only half come form it.

And for those who are into some agencies, how many of those lady have advance booking, no a lot, a could also imagine that into agencies last minute call is big part of the business, and those people where reading ads into newspaper.

In many smaller town, lady wont advertise them self on internet, Halifax and Quebec city for example, In Halifax only Sydney Banks as a web sites, in Quebec City 1 web sites, and I can tell you that you should not trust it. So where do we found valuable information into newspaper. :confused:
