There are two theories to arguing with women.

Neither of them work.

:D

Personally, I fight to solve, or negotiate or manipulate a resolution and in inevitably win ! ;)

...skip the fight, and move straight to the "making up";)

My friend sitting here has offered her opinion and I am giving her an avenue to voice it soooooo .........

This is her.... not me.....

A woman always has the last words of an argument. Know why? Cuz as soon as the guy opens his mouth again...it is the start of another argument.

This would be the above opinion of the friend :)........aka Lluenna@hotmail.com

I know I know..... ouch .... I am sorry! Her thoughts not mine....

See I told you my friend knew.... LOL
Kisses from me as always.
And Teddybear I agree with you.. Jenn_angel

Men fight from the intellect - they try to construct a cogent and logical arguement with a premise and resolution. Women fight from the heart, all emotion. The Challenger believes in Guerilla warfare (read as the Challenger's marriage) that the female counterpart succeeds because of her unwillingness to accept defeat even in the face of a superior force.

Inevitably the Challenger becomes a whipped puppy dog though he was right all along. The only way to win in this battle is to counter-attack with no logic and admit that Mrs. Challenger is right thereby neutalizing her advantage of emotion.

Note: The Challenger now understands why Il Ventilatore speaks in the third person - the essence of stupidity is far grander (no slander intended).

You know, that comment really upset me! In fact, I'm all emotional now and can hardly type. I'd argue this point with you, but you've reduced me to a quivering bundle of emotions with your blinding logic...

Well I think there may be a lot of truth to that point of emotion Challenger.

I feel that I must state my "feelings" on the whole concept.

I tend to argue my point based on opinions derived from my intellect and when a subject triggers emotion it makes me realise that I care. I also know that men can argue a point with emotion and conviction. There have been many great men who did this as leaders of thier communities and societies through this particular method.

One of the things I feel must be challenged on this is that the men I know are all emotional about things they feel stongly about. I also know women who can argue a point while keeping a cool haed and without emotion.

I can see why you made that statement, however, I also see why it could be classified as a stereotype.

I mean no disregard by this I simply "feel" the need to calmly express my side in this (?argument?) discussion.

I also point out that some people wage their battles using both logic and conviction... would that be a contradiction to the theory?

Quite true, it is a stereotype and frequently unfair. Yet we all cut corners, compartmetalise and file information away in our own neat little drawers. It is a simple way to deal with too much information and too many people.

Then again given enough time one can move past the stereotypes and understand that nothing is as it appears. Hookers & truck drivers - two of the biggest stereotypes going and hell - I'm litter trained almost as well as my cat but show me a tire. . .

Well, now I *am* intrigued. Please do expand on this irresistable tire compulsion... ;)

Arguing with a woman is like wrestling a pig. You both end up dirty and the pig likes it.

you are all a bunch of pussys... all is fair in an arguement.. if is the fault of the man then he has to know when he is wrong.. if it the women's fault then she has to be willing to be wrong also. one of the best things is not to let it get to be an arguement in the first place. then there is no winner and no looser...

That's the one thing I hate doing--arguing with women! It's pointless and always
has the same outcome... NO SEX FOR YOU! :p

You are extremely lucky and met the women I never did. Please tell us the secret where we can find them. I traveled the world and never saw something like that.

(Or, more likely, you've just never dealt with women.)
at the first instance, that i find out she is a spoiled brat and wants her way only.. i dump her ass... i have gone through lots of b.s. from them ..but i just got lucky..i did not find her she found me. just don't put up with the b.s. is all i am saying.. good luck to you all... and yes they are out there... have faith..not all women are unreasonable. just some spoil it for the wonderful ones...

Dale Carnegie and his heirs have made a lot of money based on the simple principal that "no one wins an argument". This being said, if you always bow to your significant others view, inevitably you will be resented for being a pussy. I try to listen first, depending on the subject. Usually I will let it go, but will make the point later to assert strength one way or another.

I always have the last words when I argue with women. They are always "OK you're right."

Arguing with a woman is a lot like retrieving a quarter from a garbage disposal without unplugging it. At first it seems like a great idea, and then in a blinding flash you know it was a very very stupid idea. Occasionally though you can get out of it without too much pain.
