Kissing...

I just finished a session with an SP, and have a question for all of you.

We got onto the subject of kissing, and the lady told me that it is a very high risk activity. According to her, one can catch Hep C, amongst other things, from this practice. She also told me that one of her clients offered her a $200 tip if she would kiss him once. She declined.

Call me ignorant, but I have always thought there was little risk associated with this. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

I always thought that kissing was the least of the risks associated with an enthusiast. Given the risk of stds, kissing seems somewhat innocent. I think that Hep C can be transmitted by food servers not washing their hands after performing certain bodily functions, but I stand to be corrected if I am wrong. Daty would seem to me to pose a higher risk.

that's what I thought, too! It just took me aback that the lady would consider kissing to be high risk. Perhaps she was misinformed by someone, although she claims to have taken some nursing courses in the past and picked up the info there. I'm confused!

You are not wrong Rodman. Apparently, many people who frequent MacDonalds pick up all sorts of bugs because this chain does not require its food servers to where gloves and the Health Department refuses to force them to do it. Have a look at the person preparing your food next time you are there. It brings new meaning to the expression 'Big Mac Attach'...!

As a certified chef with papers (among my other talents) I have to say, it's not the presence/absence of gloves that spread bacteria, it's the frequency in which food handlers wash their hands. Many times you will see people wear the same latex gloves for hours or even a whole shift, which is far more hazardous than someone who doesn't wear gloves and washes his/her hands constantly. Latex gloves give people a false sense of security. You will likely not find a single chef in the city who wears latex gloves, I myself only wore them when handling fish to avoid getting the smell on my fingers (insert your perverted joke here guys). I washed my hands with soap and hot water after handling any food product, usually every 10 minutes or so. Can you imagine not washing your hands for an entire shift? In effect that's equivalent to wearing the same pair of gloves for an entire shift.

My reply:

Anal intercourse without a condom is actually in a league/category of its own together with sharing hypodermics when it comes to high-risk activities! Why do you think AIDS exploded first in the gay community and has remained largely there? It's just a politically correct desire not to offend the gay community (an oppressed? minority) which has prompted the Toronto Health Dept. to lump vaginal intercourse in with anal as a risk category! The gay community lobbied furiously, and it would seem successfully, to get AIDS redefined from a gay affliction to a more general one precisely because they knew funding to fight AIDS would be more readily forthcoming if AIDS lost its perception of being a gay man's disease! I wonder what percentage of heterosexual AIDS transmission is actually due to the increasing prevalence of anal sex practices?

There are two reasons why AIDS is so readily transmitted by anal sex. The first is that the anus is not designed to accomodate a penis. The anus thus incurs numerous small tears during intercourse!!! The second is that anal tissue, unlike that of a vagina, actually absorbs fluid ,thus greatly facilitating HIV transmission!
