Was expecting more from Italy.

If this was the World Cup and it was against Argentina or Brazil, they would have been handed an ass whooping!

Same here... Although I think we have better teams in Europe than Argentina or Brazil (but that's beside the Point).
Italy will grow stronger as the tournament unfolds... They have proven to be slow starters and very Powerful Finishers.
Even though they got lucky with the tie, they cannot be counted out....

anyone else here hoping the Swedes do lay the same type of pasting to the Azzuri that they did to Bulgaria, so that we can all buy our gelato and espresso in peace and quiet on Dufferin/St Clair :) and as a Celtic supporter ya gotta love what Henrik Larsson did

Snook, I have heard someting in some other thread that he has been banned from here. Perhaps the mods can verify.

Yeah, Italy wasn't very impressive and it made the game drag a bit. But there was very good saves from both keepers.

However the italians always comme out slow but that was a great game today especially the first 70 minutes untill they decided to go into defence mode.

defence mode did them in..Italy subs in defencemen and sweden stock up the strikers...on a sidenote..damn US Open, I want to watch the games live dammit, LIVE!
