I'm buying the Nintendo DS (the new Nintendo Gameboy)...
Gonna be traveling in a couple weeks and the Nintendo Gameboy is just a great time waster... Took the Gameboy Advanced with me the last time and it helped me through the montony of waiting at airports and traveling... Battery life was great and it was durable and I'm hoping that the DS would provide the same.
Wondering if anybody has the DS and has any comments and any good game recommendations?
Heard that Super Mario 64 and Warioware: Touched! are worth getting!?!??

A buddy of mine traded his DS for a PSP.
BTW, Metroid is really good.

I think handheld gaming kind of sucks, but there are a few good games for the Game Boy Advance. Castlevania Aria of Sorrow is pretty sweet. They also re-released all of the original Super Mario Bros games. Super Mario Advance 4 is actually a remake of Super Mario Bros 3 for the old NES. Still the best overall Mario game.
PSP is too expensive, short on battery life, and the games are going to cost as much as a regular PS2 game. I honestly can't see why anyone would want either the DS or the PSP. It's like the old days of laptop computers...you spend a whole lot more to get a whole lot less.

Totally agree with you Denwa...
But for passing the time when you're traveling; a hand held game console is one of the best ways to do it.... :(

A couple of good games for the DS that came out not long ago are Mario & Luigi- Partners In Time, and Mario Kart DS. These are alot of fun to play and got great reviews online.
Another game you might like if you like games that are really different is Animal Crossing: Wild World
Here are links to a site to read a review of the games.

Thanks licka!!!
Advanced Wars got a high rating so I definitly going to get it....
Was thinking about the Mario Kart and will probably get that.... Just wish the DS had an analog stick instead of a old thumb pad.... Thumbs starts to kill after a while doing all those tight turns...

I agree. My thumbs always start to hurt. I always wished the Nintendo handhelds had analog sticks on them. Have fun playing which ever game you decide to buy. They are all good.

Hey licka....
Can you give me more info on Animal Crossing.... What's it about exactly?
Is it sort of like Nintendogs where you raise a puppy through your DS?

Just think of The Sims but with animals.

Yeah it is like the sims with animals. The game runs off of the system clock, so when it it is 1PM on the system it is 1PM in the game. You control the life of a animal. You kinda have to play it often to do certain things. By that i mean there are certain thing that can only be done at night, so you have to play it at night to do that one thing. It is a fun game if you have the time to play for a little bit everyday.
