so, i have bought it and played it.....who else here has done so as well? what are your thoughts so far? i think it is a huge step up on GT3, but a little dissappointed they didnt include online gaming with it. i have heard they may release a second version of GT4, with this feature included, a few months from now.

I have found a way to play GT4 online against others competitors. As you know GT4 does not ship with the ability to play online, but does have the ability to plan on a LAN. On the XLink Kai (http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/) site there are hack instructions on how to connect your PS2 via LAN to your PC to spoof your PS2 GT4 game into beliving that it is playing on a LAN, while it is actually playing online.

As I got off work from a very good day, I stopped by EB specifically to buy this game. However, as I tried it out on their demo stations, I was quite dissappointed. The game doesn't live up to the hype and all the advertisements surrounding it. Furthermore, a shitload of money went into developing this game, not to mention license fees for all the auto manufacturers. Nonetheless, I was totally blown away by the graphics and details. It was like watching the DTM or JGTCC on TV! Extremely realistic indeed and deserves my full respect in terms of graphics. But when it comes to gameplay, it is a dissappointement.

i rented this game a couple of weeks ago and thought it was amazing. they have threshold braking now, and the cars don't wander all over the place on the straigtaways, loved it. i also loved the new pitstops with fuel and a choice of tires.

my question is this, what happens if you run out of gas? every time i was close i had been racing for about 45 mins, so i didn't want to screw up my race? does the car just stop, can you get back to the pits?
