Michael Stevens - HIV Carrier

Barrie Police admit they’re just not sure if there are other victims out there – but they want Toronto residents and others in the G.T.A. to be on the alert.

They’ve arrested 38-year-old Michael Stevens and charged him with aggravated sexual assault, contending he deliberately infected a woman with HIV.

Cops accuse Stevens of knowingly having unprotected sex with his victim and they put him in a jail cell on April 19th. He remains in custody, still awaiting a bail hearing.

Stevens is believed to have frequented bars and clubs in the Barrie area, and is thought to have had a series of liaisons with local women in that city.

But he’s from Toronto, and authorities are warning he could also have had contact with women here. He has family in Montreal, and may have dated others in that area, as well.

Barrie investigators are urging any locals who may have had sexual contact with Stevens or know anything about where he was over the last few months to seek immediate medical advice and call them at (705) 725-7025 Ext.# 2183 or 2184.

What is wrong with these people? Have people stopped caring about others? Why on earth would anyone want to harm another in such a manner? Sometimes I wonder and worry about the long term effect for man kind. Will this disease be the end for all? I wonder if there should be a tatoo put on people that catch this dreaded disease in a place that would not be noticable to all public, but visable to all that they would try to sleep with.

I saw an e-mail he sent to one of my g-friends for an appt! -- he told her his handle on TERB! She has not seen him, but i know from his posts ladies he has seen quite a few girls!...unless it is just a name coincidence??? :confused:

I pm'd ashton about who it was as she had posted here that it was a member.....the member named is quite well reguarded on here, someone I know BUT HAVE NOT SEEN personally (met at an old incall when seeing a girl I used to work for), although a friend of mine has. One thing is the name is VERY common. The man named to me is not 37 (or close sorry ) so I am curious how many ladies have been pm'd the members name and if Ashton has any prook that it's him. I have pm'd myself and waiting for a reply. I would have a VERY hard time thinking it was the same person!
But you never know. I would just love to know what proof there is against the said member. Afterall a heavy allegation should have quite a bit of proof to back it up!


Also the source of the "info" should be considered after the pm I was sent. Pm me for details!

Well if the reasoning for pulling the thread was the mindless banter that followed the original post, why not just prune the replies only? The whole point of having a database to search is data, and if you delete pertinent data just because people that replied after were "childish", you have just made your database less effective. Pulling the thread and "facing the music" is only goin to result in some other person having the same experience because they couldn't find something to inform them in the first place. That is just stupid, and it does the entire community a disservice (sp?).

So is this Michael Stevens that is linked in this thread & post confirmed to have had encounters with sex workers, or regular gals he met in bars, etc. in Toronto and Barrie knowing that he was hiv+, or is that the great unknown question?

Moderator: you are absolutely doing the right thing by only getting rid of the actual bad information, but keeping the thread. It is better to know what the general issue is, than to have things appearing and disappearing and not know what is going on.
